O’Connor Glass has purchased 500 student tickets to give away for the Island Storm’s Islander Day game.
The tickets became available to the public this morning at 11 a.m. Student tickets are valid for anyone under the age of 18.
“As a family run business we want to be involved with the community whenever we can,” said the company’s co-owner John O’Connor. “We’re all about getting kids physically active. We want to promote healthy athletic lifestyles.”
The Islander Day game has averaged large crowds and the team is expecting another big turnout on Monday at 2 p.m. when the Storm hosts the Orangeville A’s.
“This is one game we really want to pack the arena for,” Storm owner Duncan Shaw said. “John and all of the staff at O’Connor Glass have been so supportive of the team and the community. This partnership will benefit everyone.”
The tickets, which are limited to two per family, are only available at the box office. No purchase is necessary.
