New Haven sprinter Jared Connaughton is going back to the Commonwealth Games.
Athletics Canada announced 50 members of the team on Wednesday that will wear the Maple Leaf at the Games in Glasgow, Scotland from July 23 to Aug. 3.
Connaughton, 28, will run the 4x100-metre relay. Ottawa’s Oluwasegun Makinde and Toronto’s Dontae Richards-Kwok are also on the team for the event.
Connaughton finished fourth in 200-metre sprint final at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 in Delhi, India.
A team of 265 athletes and close to 100 coaches and support staff will be in Glasgow, Canada’s largest team ever fielded for a non-home Games. The entire team, as well as the flag-bearer, will be announced by Commonwealth Games Canada in July.
