The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada erupted for three unanswered goals to down the Charlottetown Islanders 5-2 at EastLink Centre Saturday night.
The Charlottetown Islanders have now lost 11 games in a row and are standing with a 17-32-1-4 record in the QMJHL.
The team will host the Rimouski Oceanic at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The game was tied 2-2 going into Saturday’s third period.
Christopher Clapperton, Nikita Jevpalovs and Philippe Sanche all scored for the Armada in the third period to seal the win. The Armada’s other goals were both scored by Danick Martel.
Alexandre Goulet scored both of the Islanders goals. Assists went to Daniel Sprong and Troy Vance.
Armada assists went to Clapperton, Jevpalovs, Martel, Daniel Walcott, Samuel Hodhod, Olivier Picard, Marcus Hinds and former Islander Matthew Bursey.
Islanders netminder Eric Brassard stopped 27 of the Armada’s 31 shots. Armada goaltender Samuel Montembeault made 28 saves for the win.
