Prince Edward Island scored singles in two of the last three ends to break a 5-5 tie and beat Nova Scotia 7-5 Thursday at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal.
Both teams are now 3-7.
The Kim Dolan-skipped rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex started strong, scoring a deuce in the first and singles in the second, fourth and sixth ends to take a 5-2 lead. Nova Scotia’s Heather Smith tied it with three in the seventh.
The Island had singles in the eighth and 10th for the victory.
Team P.E.I., which includes third Rebecca Jean MacDonald, second Sinead Dolan and lead Michala Robison, plays Manitoba’s Chelsea Carey Friday morning at 10 a.m. in its final game of the tournament.
