City's Best Wishes book available to sign at Credit Union Place until Feb. 9

SUMMERSIDE — The City of Summerside is encouraging all residents to sign a Best Wishes book for Heather Moyse before she leaves to compete at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

“Heather is a wonderful ambassador for the City of Summerside. She is a tremendous competitor and role model for our youth," said Summerside Mayor Basil Stewart. "We wish her the best of luck as she represents not only our country, but our province and our city at her third Olympic games."

The Best Wishes book can be signed at the main reception desk of Credit Union Place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., from now until Sunday, Feb. 9.

“We will all be cheering Heather on as she goes for the gold again," said Coun. Jim Steele, chairman of the city's community services committee. 

"We are all very proud her and of all her accomplishments. Summerside is lucky to be the hometown of such a wonderful athlete and person."
