Ballard helps Storm rally past Halifax

Halifax — Antonio Ballard scored with less than 15 seconds left in the game, then stole the inbound pass with five seconds left to give the Island Storm a come-from-behind 108-107 win over the Halifax Rainmen at the Metro Centre on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Storm has a share of first place in the Atlantic Division of the National Basketball League of Canada with the Saint John Mill Rats although the Rats were also in action Sunday night.

Adrian Moss led the way for the Storm with 33 points, including 7-for-9 from the three-point line. Greg Plummer also hit seven three-pointers on nine shots, good for 27 points.

Cheyne Gadson and Tim Parham each scored 19 points for Halifax.

The Storm is at home Tuesday at Eastlink Centre when the Moncton Miracle visit Charlottetown. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
