The Island Storm has signed former London Lightning power forward Jeremy Williams.

The Memphis, Tennessee, native score more than 11 points per game for the league champions last season while averaging close to five rebounds. Williams is expected to be in the Storm lineup Sunday in Halifax.

“Jeremy brings a lot of athleticism and versatility to our front court,” said Storm coach Joe Salerno. “He is a guy who can bang with the best of them down on the block, but can also step out and knock down the open 20 footer. He knows what it takes to win a championship in this league, and we are thrilled to have him.”

The signing comes a day after centre Antoine Tisby was placed on the inactive reserve list after he returned home for personal reasons.
