Two taken to PCH after head-on crash

Two people were taken to the Prince County Hospital with undetermined injuries after a two-vehicle, head-on collision Tuesday on the All-Weather Highway in St. Eleanors.

East Prince RCMP said the crash, which occurred around 7 p.m., involved a 2006 Pontiac with two adults travelling east and a 2006 Ford F150 with three adult males travelling west.

East Prince RCMP said the crash, which occurred around 7 p.m., involved a 2006 Pontiac with two adults travelling east and a 2006 Ford F150 with three adult males travelling west.

The 23-year-old female driver of the car and the 30-year-old male passenger, both from the Slemon Park area, were taken to the PCH. The Summerside fire department used the Jaws of Life to remove the woman from the car. The males in the truck were treated at the scene and released. Island EMS and the Department of Highways also assisted.
