Editor: This past Victoria Day Weekend was certainly an exciting one on the Island. I had the pleasure of being in North Rustico at The Watermark Theatre for the Sears Atlantic Drama Festival which saw students from all four Atlantic provinces sharing their excellent productions and attending workshops.

P.E.I.’s Colonel Gray High School presented an important play titled I Don’t Want to Talk About It which explored major teen concerns. It garnered a number of awards for talented and committed students — Samantha Gillespie, Aaron Ryder, Gillian Oakley and Franki Walsh. This was the last of three major Sears Canada sponsored drama festivals that take place in B.C., Ont., and P.E.I. The Atlantic Festival is the only inter-provincial event.

Congratulations to all and thank you for the incredible hospitality.
