Editor: The minister of finance is taking suggestions for the provincial budget. I suggest teachers taking professional development days in July and August without pay.

The latest report on students’ health shows high rates of bullying and students with weight problems. The government can save money not paying teachers until there are improvements in PISA scores.

The money saved can be spent on school security and providing more gym time for students instead of free classes.
