Editor: I live in what I consider to be the heartland of our great province. I was bred and born and have lived most of my life on a farm in Oyster Bed Bridge. It is also where my wife and I have raised our children.
My concern is that some bureaucrat or bureaucrats have decided that ‘Bridge’ is no longer to be part of our community name. My only conclusion is that I am way out of sync with modern thinking. Perhaps these bureaucrats came from Hunter (why bother with River), or maybe even from Summer or Charlotte.
Don’t you think it is only fair that every community on Prince Edward have its name reduced to save on printing costs, or whatever the reason some one came up with? I would be interested in seeing the opinions of your readers on this issue.
