Editor: Provincial Tory party president Blake Doyle says with the delay of the next P.E.I. election until April 2016 he wants to delay the planned Tory leadership convention after the fall of 2014 for various reasons.

This subject and all issues were to be discussed by the party executive at a meeting this week. It appears since elected all the Tory executive do is talk, discuss and delay taking action. By now they should have established an active, aggressive search committee seeking out possible candidates for the top Tory job instead of concerning themselves with online voting and other Mickey Mouse issues.

It appears leadership is lacking and it starts with the party president who doesn’t inspire confidence or any excitement in taking on the challenge of electing a new party leader.
