Editor: If the community of Cornwall taxed 1,500 places of residence $12 per month for 12 months, $216,000 could be raised.

Entire families could travel to Charlottetown return with free passes for one year by bus.

Thousands of dollars can be saved for them under the present system. Separate systems could be costly. Taxi fare to Charlottetown, one-way costs $15, times one.

Other users would pay a fee. Welfare users could find it beneficial.

Are there 1,500 households paying taxes . . .750 of them?
