Charlottetown police issue tickets during random road check Monday

Charlottetown Police Services issued nine tickets on Monday during a random road check on the arterial highway at Upton Road.

Police checked in excess of 200 vehicles.

Charlottetown Police Services say they will continue with random road checks in an effort to ensure Island roads remain safe.

    Who checks for expired handicapped stickers on cars that park in handicapped spaces? Honestly, we have seen some that go back a few years still being used to park in those spaces. Every year its a different colored sticker so it is quite noticeable, even from a distance. The fee for a sticker is not too high, and if you drive through a big box store lot every day , its obvious. But it occurs most everywhere on the Island.
