A 34-year-old man from York is facing impaired driving charges following a roadside check stop on Tuesday night.
Just after 9 p.m., RCMP were conducting the roadside check in Baldwin Road when the odour of liquor was apparent from the York man’s breath as he was speaking to an officer.
The man subsequently failed a roadside screening device test and was arrested for impaired driving offences.
He was then transported to the Souris detachment where the York man provided two samples of his breath in excess of the legal limit.
The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Georgetown provincial court at a later date.
