A local microbrewery will be pouring money into Island arts.

Charlottetown-based Upstreet Craft Brewing is launching the Do-Good Fund on Jan. 1, a program aimed at supporting a variety of P.E.I. arts initiatives throughout the year.

The fund will collect proceeds from the sale of every bottle of their Do-Gooder American Pale Ale. The owners of the brewery will distribute the money to deserving artists and community groups.

To celebrate the launch, Upstreet is hosting 12 hours of live music and brewery tours starting at 10 a.m. New Years Day.

Upstreet is doing some great things for this community! I love their beer and the people behind it are the real deal. I for one will be there with bells on tomorrow to show my support.
