Drug seizure leads to charges in Linkletter

A man who had an outstanding warrant is facing more charges after the RCMP allegedly found drugs in his vehicle at a campground in Linkletter.

In a news release, the RCMP said police officers conducted a vehicle stop in the Linkletter Campground and noticed the man had signs of alcohol impairment.

He allegedly refused the breathalyzer.

When the police searched the vehicle they allegedly found a large quantity of drugs.

A female passenger was also arrested and both face charges of possession of prescription pills, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana all for the purposes of trafficking.

The two are also facing possession of stolen property charges.

Along with the drugs, the RCMP said they seized a large amount of cash.

    and Nancy Orr thinks we have a drug problem! Well I hope the next time I see her in her court room the time fits the crime, a slap in wrist is no good. It is time to send message.
