West Prince RCMP arrested a 31-year-old Tyne Valley man Monday after he was allegedly driving drunk at around noon near O’Leary.

In a news release, the RCMP said they responded to a call of a possible drunk driver in a Saturn Ion in the O’Leary area.

The RCMP didn’t find the car right away, but an officer on patrol around 3 p.m. spotted the vehicle driving in an erratic manner in the Springfield West area.

The officer pulled the vehicle over and arrested the man for impaired driving.

Breathalyzer samples later showed his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit.

The man was held overnight and is scheduled to appear in court June 19.
