Zack Stretch has found the pefect way to spend a warm spring afternoon. He and family friends Kenny MacRae and Margo Livingston were in Bonshaw Saturday trying to catch their supper.
The weather was grand for the first long weekend of the spring and to top it all off the trout fishing was free with no need of a license.
"Every year during the Victoria Day long weekend, Island families are invited to participate in the free family fishing weekend, said Agriculture Minister George Webster.
He said the special weekend was created to enable families to enjoy angling without having to buy a license and to encourage a new generation of Islanders to get out there and drop a line.
