The case of a 41-year-old Charlottetown woman charged with attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend has been adjourned now to May 21.
Marlo Docherty had been transported to the East Coast Forensic Hospital in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, for a mental health assessment and that assessment is now complete. The court must now review that assessment.
Defence counsel Thane MacEachern had requested the assessment.
At the time, he stressed the purpose of the assessment was not to determine the fitness of the accused to stand trial but rather to determine what her mental state may have been at the time of the incident.
