A 19-year-old woman from Covehead is facing drunk driving charges after being stopped by RCMP and failing the roadside alcohol screening test.

A 19-year-old woman from Covehead is facing drunk driving charges after being stopped by RCMP overnight in the community.

Queens District RCMP stopped the teen at Covehead Wharf at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, where she failed a roadside alcohol screening test. 

The young woman is scheduled to appear in provincial court on June 30.

    It is good to hear that this 19-year old woman has been caught. In truth, I am very surprised that the RCMP patrols along the North Shore. Perhaps their presence will stem the tide of young speeders on Highway 25 and Gulf Shore Parkway.

    in the eyes of the law, age 18 + are adults, not teens... no youth court for this one. She's playing in the big ball park now...

    used to be that only men were stupid enough to drive drunk -!!!!! ain't equality wonderful !!
