Charlottetown man fined for stealing liquor

Allan Harold Lutz, age 25, of Charlottetown has been fined $500 after pleading guilty to stealing a pint of whisky from the P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission.

Lutz must pay a $100 victims of crime surcharge.

Provincial Court Judge Nancy Orr also placed the accused on probation. While on probation he must undergo assessment, counselling and treatment, if required, for the use of alcohol or drugs or any other underlying issue that may have contributed to the commission of this offence.

Lutz must make restitution for the liquor he stole to the tune of $15.75. He is now barred from that liquor store.
