Queens District RCMP are seeking the public’s help after someone robbed the North River Shell gas station Tuesday night.

RCMP Sgt. Andrew Blackadar said a person armed with a weapon entered the Shell at about 9:15 p.m., demanded cash from the lone clerk and fled the scene.

“At this point we believe the individual acted alone, but we’re still trying to determine which direction the individual left in, how the individual got there and how the individual left,” he said.

Blackadar said he couldn’t release many details of the crime because the RCMP hope members of the public will come forward with information that they can verify.

He did say the robbery appears to be a targeted act specific to the Shell.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact RCMP at the nearest detachment or phone Queens District at 902-566-7112 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to leave an anonymous tip.

Does the Shell not have a video camera? If so, releasing the video will help catch this thief a lot quicker.
