Police arrest pair in Summerside for Kinkora break-in

Investigators search residence and seize vehicle looking for evidence

A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from Summerside were arrested Thursday in connection with a break, enter and theft at a convenience store in Kinkora earlier this week.

Big Dog Convenience in Kinkora was broken into during the early morning hours Monday.

Thursday, East Prince RCMP, Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) and Summerside Police Services executed a Criminal Code search warrant on a residence in Summerside. Officers arrested a male and female in this residence and searched the home for evidence linked to the break, enter and theft. A vehicle was seized in relation to this crime and also is being examined for evidence linked to the break and enter.

The man is being held in custody and will appear at a later date for a hearing to determine whether he will be released prior to trial. The woman was released from police custody and will appear in Summerside Provincial Court at a later date.
