A 31-year-old Summerside man has been arrested and charged after entering a Subway store in Charlottetown Sunday brandishing a syringe and demanding cash.

Charlottetown Police Services received the complaint of the robbery at approximately 2:30 p.m. from the Grafton Street restaurant.

After initiating an investigation, police arrested the man a short time later.

The accused was remanded and will appear in provincial court at a later date.

    As a previous summerside resident : How does it not cease to amaze me that this man is from Summerside.
