Dianne Hughes and her three-year-old daughter Sadie scream to show how much fun they were having on the sledding hill in Victoria Park Saturday during Charlottetown's Winterfun Weekend.

There were also sleigh rides and plenty of snowpersons were being built all day in the park.

Other areas of the city had festival activities ranging from sporting events, reading in the library and bingo games. One of the more popular spots was the Charlottetown fire department on Kent Strert. It was packed with young and old alike who met the firefighters and police officers and then toured the fire station.

I had to laugh at this one, so proper, so "correct". But I wonder how the children will take to calling their cold creation a "snowperson" just to be on the right side of feminism or whatever.
