Police arrest man for breaking into Subway

A city man has been arrested following a break and enter at the Subway restaurant on University and Belvedere Avenue Sunday morning.

Police said thieves entered the building at approximately 12:50 a.m. by smashing a window and then removed a cash register with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police arrested an area man shortly after the incident.

The accused was jailed at the provincial correctional centre and will appear in court at a later date.

    Why was any money left in the register overnight to begin with.
