A special fund has been set up for a Charlottetown mother battling back from a stroke.
Donations can now be made to Hollie Myers at all Credit Unions in Prince Edward Island.
Myers, a single mother of two young boys, suffered a stroke on Oct. 13. For one week, she was paralyzed on her right side and could not speak a word.
She is slowly on the mend but is still a good bit shy of a full recovery.
In addition to the Credit Union account, a benefit concert is being held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Morell Regional High School to help offset costs associated with the 32-year-old woman’s setback.
Sponsored by the Morell Lions, the evening will include a silent auction, 50/50 draw and plenty of local talent.
