• Anne in China Inc. officials from P.E.I. are in China, preparing for a second printing of the Mandarin translation of Anne of Green Gables.

• The first printing of 20,000 has sold well.

• To celebrate, two Chinese women visited P.E.I. last week to read their essays about how the novel inspired them.

• Anne in China Inc. received “thousands and thousands of entrants” in the contest which was co-ordinated by the Sunrise Group of Charlottetown.

    My wife actually read all the books before we were married. My daughter has read all the books. We've seen all the movies and I use clips from the movies in my teaching.Anne and what she represents are the real endearing values of all islanders. She is a more important export than potatoes!
