It’s a long road from Pender Island to Prince Edward Island.

But it’s a familiar one for artist Mae Moore.

That’s because for five years about a decade ago, the British Columbia-born award-winning singer-songwriter called Canada’s smallest province home.

“I have such a warm spot in my heart for P.E.I. and all the people there. When I lived there, I was treated so well,” says Moore, who is planning a brief visit to the Island for a concert this month.

During her initial stay, she put down roots, got involved in the music community, bought the former St. George’s parish house and renovated it.
