Guardian earns Atlantic Journalism Awards nomination

Guardian photographer Brian McInnis, along with Nigel Armstrong, Jocelyne Lloyd and Wayne Thibodeau, have earned an Atlantic Journalism Award nomination in the online news reporting category for their coverage of the Stanhope Beach Resort fire in April.

Awards gala to be held in Halifax in May

The Guardian is nominated for an Atlantic Journalism Award.

Guardian photographer Brian McInnis, along with Nigel Armstrong, Jocelyne Lloyd and Wayne Thibodeau have earned the nomination in the online news reporting category for their coverage of the Stanhope Beach Resort fire in April.

Other P.E.I. AJA nominees include Journal Pioneer managing editor Brad Works for his page layout during the RBC Cup in Summerside, and CBC Charlottetown reporters Federico Cahis and Steve Bruce for their TV coverage of the Stanhope fire.

The awards will be presented during the gala dinner and awards event at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel on Saturday, May 10.

      I could not agree more. Words can convey feelings of course, but I think images are better at doing that.
