SUMMERSIDE - Murphy’s Pharmacy in downtown Summerside is the newest addition to Canada Post’s retail network.
“We are very excited to announce the addition of a postal outlet to our pharmacy in downtown Summerside,” said owner Ryan Murphy.
“Local businesses, Downtown Summerside Inc., and the Summerside Regional Development Corporation, as well as many others, have been working hard to revitalize the downtown core and this announcement by Canada Post will certainly be beneficial to that effort.”
The new postal outlet opened for service this week, offering all standard Canada Post products in addition to extended business hours.
“Canadians live busy lives and their postal needs are changing,” said Doug Jones, Senior Vice-President, Delivery and Customer Experience at Canada Post.
“Our goal is to make it easier for them to access our services. Partnering with local entrepreneurs like Mr. Murphy enables us to do just that.”
The new postal outlet, located at 243 Harbour Dr., offers parcel pickup, shipping, stamps, post office boxes, money orders, government forms including Revenue Canada and Passport Canada, and debit/credit card payments. Services will be available six days a week, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
