Military Blog Site - with Robby McRobb Blog

Welcome Home to one of Canada's Special Forces members

You could see the pride and relief in the eyes of a man whom I work with here on PEI. His son a member of JTF2: Canadas super-secret commandos. Has returned safely from his tour in the hinterlands of Afghanistan. Unfortunately for securities sake we cannot divulge the name of this unsung hero nor anyone in the JTF2 unit.

Suffice to say their sacrifices on behalf of Canada and Canadians serve us well. These are brave soldiers of our country carrying out secret and very important missions. Sometimes alone for weeks in enemy territory, being our eyes and ears. Sometimes leading attacks on enemies of Canada. These soldiers deserve our support and accolades well done JTF2.

I am not normally a fan of the you tube culture , but this video link is vital to observing JTF2 troopers in many situations.www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BgnVSkr7nQ you may have to cut and paste into your browser.

Canadian snipers - both regular force and JTF2 - are regarded as the world's best. One broke a 30-year-old record in 2002, killing an enemy soldier with his .50-calibre rifle from 2,443 metres - almost 21/2 kilometres.

Please show your support for the brave men and women of all our military services Land, Sea or Air.
