As we approach the Thanksgiving weekend here in safety amongst family and friends. let us say a prayer or a thought for our Troops who are far away at this time of year. As Canadians we have a lot to be thankful for, peace, stability and of course FREEDOM. The right to Vote ,Education, and Right to Freedom of Speech. As well as strong Conservative Government which supports our troops.
Many of our troops are in dangerous areas of the Globe and will not be sharing with their families. The personnel in Kandahar base should receive a Canadian Thanksgiving dinner from the Caterers. It is really sad that a Canadian catering company has never been selected to feed our troops overseas. As for the men and women in the Forward Operating Areas. Canadian military cooks will be working their magic to feed their troops with as much love as a home cooked meal prepared by mom.
So once again dear readers share a thought for the Canadians serving far away.
For any Muslim readers I realise that the following events concur with Canadian Thanksgiving. We respect your traditions and wish you the Blessings of Allah
Lailatul-Qadr (Night after 26th Ramadan) October 08
Eid-al-Fitr (1st Shawwal) October 13
Enjoy your thanksgiving Festivities.
