LAV's require Maintenance !! Leopards require Replacement

This situation is nothing new to the Canadian Military, weapons, vehicles, aircraft and ships require a good maintenance programme. Unfortunately the troops at the sharp end are the ones who suffer the consequence of outdated equipment. However Canadian troops where ever they mayserve, are masters of Improvisation and make do in order to carry out their duties in a professional manner. This seems to be ingrained in the Canucks whether mechanics, techs yes even cooks they make do. BUT they should not have to make do, our government should be on top of the situation as they are the politicos who sent these men and women to the most dangerous parts of the earth. So Minister Gordon O'Conner it is time to get the proverbial finger out and supply your troops ASAP with fully operational equipment.

On another note Thank you to all the people who supported the PEI Military Families Centre with their Charity Bingo a well attended event and I feel that everyone had a blast. A heads up for a future event, the MFSC is in the midst of organizing an International Chili Cook off here on PEI. Anyone may enter a team and there will be a separate judging of Professional/Restauranteurs. For those who have never experienced a Chili cook-off look up www.chiliheads/ics

Finally for the reader who wish to know what a LAV looks like here is a photo from the front.

I would just like to say thank you for your comment on cbc. but for this blurb its seems like you are askin too much for us. yes we do need some new equipment but they are slowly coming into play. The part about the lavs needing maintance and the leapords needing replaced, well everything needs maintance even the regular day car the people drive at home. Its just that we go a little more indept with our lavs just because they are safe and reliable and we want to keep them that way. The leapords are an excellent piece of machinary, yes i agree that they are out of date but the fact of the matter is they can still do what we need them to do over here in afghanistan too their full capabillities.
