Canadian Submarine

HMCS Victoria

Today I would like to share with you a couple of submarine stories, The Volunteer service of both the Royal Navy and Our own Royal Canadian navy.

The west coast base paper the Lookout has a great spread on the ongoing sea trials of the Submarine HMCS Victoria

http://www.lookoutnewspaper.com/index.php      when the link opens view the photo gallery and down load (free) the PDF of this weeks issue.

On another note I read a Blog this morning from a retired Submariner of the Royal Navy. It is the submariners recipe for a Christmas cake. I am a wee bit unsure as to why he used WHISKY as oppossed to WHISKEY it must be a local difference.

Thanks Ben a great story for this Christmas season.

Sorry Robbie about the misspelling of Whiskey, I copied and pasted the recipe and had posted it before I notice the wrong spelling of whisky, I wish the Scots would learn to spell properly!!!! I hope you noticed the bottle in the photo, it was a genuine bottle of Blackbush Irish Whiskey. From Bushmills distillery the world's oldest distiller of whiskey!
