First RCAF rotation Libya

Protest In Kabul

Just recently the first members of Canada's RCAF departed Italy after completing 6 months on this UN/NATO Mission.

Now into its seventh month and still no sign of Gadaffi, The CBC reporters say that the NAtional Transitional Council has control over Libya except for a few pockets of resistance in Sirte? Why then continue the massive bombing campaign?

Surely a wait and watch situation is called for. Bombing is not the immediate answer.

On the Syrian Front, Canada  the UN and NATO has increased political and trade sanctions. Meanwhile  Bashar al- Assad carries out his cruel dictatorship of the Syrian people.

Now Afghanistan the men accused of plotting to kill Hamid Karzai ? ? A body guard plus students. No one not even the Afghan Government know exactly who the enemy is. How are Canadian Trainers to know ?

Meanwhile a demonstration in Kabul against all Foreign Troops.

Hundreds of Afghans have taken to the streets of the country's capital Kabul to demand the immediate withdrawal of international troops ahead of the 10th anniversary of the U.S. invasion.

Thursday's peaceful demonstration in downtown Kabul was meant to mark the Oct. 7 invasion of Afghanistan 10 years ago, following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks against the United States.

The invasion came after Taliban leader Mullah Omar refused to hand over Osama bin Laden, purportedly because of his disbelief that the al-Qaeda chief was responsible for the attacks and because it went against the Afghan tradition of hospitality and protection of guests.

Our Canadian Troops are certainly being utilised for both NATO and the UN.

I pray that they all returns safe and sound to a Proud Canada.

Sadly we still seem to be allowing some of our troops suffering from PTSD to slip through the cracks. Be kind and speak with anyone you feel is suffering from PTSD tell them that Canada does care.

Meanwhile PEI's own Captain Terry Hunter is still recuperationg in Ottawa. His sense of humour was certainly not damaged as he speaks of the metal pins in his shoulder... concerned about scanners at the airports. Keep smiling my friend and get well, get stronger and return to your treasured Isle for some R&R.

Please support your Troops and their families.

Greetings, I saw on CTV news some p clips of Capt Hunter, The opposition was complaining of the use of a Challenger to med evac him back to Canada. I would not support any m,ember of the Opposition who wishes to repatriate a Canadian Soldier by hitch hiking. The Challenger is the appropriate aircraft to use for a medevac of any Canadian hurt abroad. This is why we pay taxes. Get well soon Captain you are a Canadian Soldier. SHAME on our Loyal Opposition most if not all of whom have never served a Day in defence of Canada nor its Ideals.
