Congratulations F/S Justin Dow..& veteran Guy Vachon

Congratulation F/S Dow

Today, I am happy to report on two stories in the news. One is of a young man in the Air Cadet programme, the other is from a Korean War Veteran in Ottawa.

The young man Justin Dow shows what our youth of today are capable of. Both he and his sister are air cadets. The photo is Justin receiving his promotion to Flight Sgt

These cadet programmes whether, Army, Navy, or Air. All provide discipline and guidance to young people who stick with the programme. In these days of gangs and street violence in our cities it is nice to see that a percentage of our youth are still interested in the cadet programmes on offer across Canada.

Personally speaking as a former single parent if not for scouting, guides and cadet groups my kids may have gone off track. Proudly they are both now parents and a very productive part of the Canadian Fabric.

So to the parents of Justin Dow , DEborah and Al, I commend them and the parents of all the other cadets  throughout Canada. Well Done.

The next story is about a Veteran of the Korean War who served Canada for 27 years. He fought the landlords ruling that he was not to fly our Canadian Flag outside his home. An MP has now prepared a bill to allow Canadians anywhere to fly their National Flag. Well done Guy Vachon.

The Libyan destruction is now in its ninth month and still no Gadaffi???? Let's rethink this mission NATO.

Please give a thought or a prayer for our Troops our Veterans and their families.
