CINDY DAY: Quite a cool-down, indeed

It’s been a warm, muggy week but we’re heading into the weekend with much more fall-like weather.

The cold front that was being held back by a strong off-shore high is finally pushing through. This afternoon’s temperatures will be close to 10 degrees cooler than they were yesterday and a north wind will put a little chill in the air.  Saturday’s bright sunshine will give way to clouds on Sunday and a line of rain will follow overnight into Monday.

Behind the showers, we’ll get back to sunshine with another dip in temperatures.  It’s going to be a quiet week, weather-wise, but I’ll be busy keeping an eye on tropical storm Paulette. The strengthening system is expected to become a hurricane by Monday. It’s too soon to say what kind of impact, if any, this storm will have on our weather, but it’s going to be interesting.
