It's time to get out the ice scrapers, think about winter tires, and put away the shorts and sandals.
The transition from fall to winter is never easy, but it is inevitable. While humans might procrastinate, some more than others, animals have no choice. The adorable bunny in the photos is proof of that. I thought I would share this little note that accompanied the photos:
"Here are two pictures of a bunny that is part of a family that has been living in the woods behind our home for the last number of years. We do not feed or interact much with them; they just eat the grass and clover, etc. that is in our backyard.
We planted a garden for the first time this year and they did not even eat it even though it was open for them to do so. Last Thursday this gal or guy allowed me to get close enough to take these pictures showing how winter is coming even though the temperature was saying otherwise.
Their feet and ears are white; soon the rest of their body will be white. I am glad he is still there because I have pictures of a coyote(s) that has walked through our backyard since COVID started.

If you’re not ready for winter, you’d better hop to it! Flurries seem to have found their way back into our forecasts.
