Proof that the Black Rock sea serpent exists!  

Phil Vogler shares this sighting of the creature with us.  

The crew of the Fundy Breeze II out of Harbourville, N.S., also spotted the serpent and they appear to wisely be taking an extra wide berth.    

A talented artist by the name of David Taylor from Black Rock, N.S.,  is often credited for this, but no one really knows for sure … 

You never know what you’ll see out on the Bay of Fundy.

Can you say gorgeous? Ronald O’Toole sent this ‘Sunrise at the Castle’ photo he took on Sept. 17 at Logy Bay, N.L. The sun’s rays look like the petals of a flower as it rises out of the Atlantic Ocean. Logy Bay is located near Torbay and is about 10 minutes from downtown St. John’s.

Louise Campbell of Charlottetown sent this photo she calls ‘Spilt Milk Clouds’ over P.E.I. She saw this cloud formation the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 18. She said the clouds look like milk sloshing. It’s one of Mother Nature’s beautiful things.

Judy Doyle sent this photo of deer visiting her property on Cape Breton’s Mira River on Monday morning. She said deer are frequent visitors to the area and yesterday she counted as many as seven walking along the river near her home. The deer silhouetted against the morning sun are a beautiful sight.

When hurricane Larry made landfall on the west side of the Avalon on Sept. 11, many things were blown around. Once the storm cleared, Don Simms found this lovely butterfly resting on a sedum in his yard in Mount Pearl, N.L. I wasn't sure what kind of butterfly it was, so I looked it up. Here's what I found. This beauty is a Vanessa Atalanta or red admiral: a medium-sized butterfly with black wings, reddish bands, and white spots.
