The ducks at Shubie Park in Dartmouth didn't seem to be bothered by the more than 50 mm of rain that fell across the Halifax Regional Municipality on Saturday night.

Mairi Milne was out for a stroll in the park on Sunday and spotted this elegant Northern Pintail. This handsome boy was garnering quite a bit of attention over the weekend.

Did you know Northern Pintails are capable of flying at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour?

Northern Pintail ducks are usually among the first birds to begin migrating in the fall and spring.
