Last month, I wrote a column about backyard winter fun and creating outdoor ornaments. Margo Sly gave it a try; as you can see, it turned out beautifully.
To her water-filled metal pie plate, she added clippings from her garden in Halifax, frozen cranberries, two varieties of ivy, heather and periwinkle.
Now that it's quite cold again, perhaps we can all give it a try.
