The weather changes quickly in Atlantic Canada; sometimes, the calm before the storm is short-lived. Emma Wiseman's timing could not have better when she snapped this stunning photo. She titled it "A Calm Halifax Harbour at Sunset.” The soft yellows in this photo are less common than the oranges and red we sometimes see at the end of the day. A yellow sky often indicates there is a winter storm brewing during a relatively mild day. The golden glow is an atmospheric effect. It's the result of how the sun is filtering through the air and how the light is scattering.
