We’re back today with another terrific “grown-up” art submission.
Weather by Day has long featured art by budding young artists, but recently, I have met quite a few “grown-ups” who have picked up crayons, pencils, markers, paintbrushes and even fabrics to find their focus.
Today’s featured artist is Dr. Malliga Nagarajan, from Charlottetown, P.E.I.
She says, “As an amateur, I have developed a new passion in the last year for drawing with oil pastel crayons. In some of my drawings, I love to incorporate few objects of special interest giving them certain individualistic flavour. I seemed to capture my creative spirit in colour and enjoy moments of peace, relaxation, entertainment and a sense of adventure when I do these drawings.”
“I chose the following two in particular as I am always inspired by Anne of Green Gables heritage place in Cavendish and the Confederation Bridge joining PEI to the rest of Canada.”
Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Malliga.
If you’ve recently discovered your artistic talent or simply picked up a crayon for the first time in years, I’d like to feature your artwork on Weather By Day.
You can send a photo of a recent work of art along with a line or two about your inspiration or your reason for picking up the crayons after so many years, to email@example.com.
