Weekend outlook: windy, wet, and white!

A rain system approaching from the west will work its way across the region this weekend. Temperatures close to the ground will be near and slightly above freezing, but that's insignificant when a northern high is pumping cold air into the top of the system. NORTHUMBERLAND STRAIT- EASTERN HALF: STRONG WIND WARNING 

  • WIND: E 25 knots with gusts to 45 knots from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence 

GULF – MAGDALEN – SOUTHERN HALF:  STRONG WIND WARNING 

  • WIND: E 25 knots with gusts to 45 knots from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence.  
  • WAVES: 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 metres near noon
