PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND: Cold week, followed by …another Sunday storm?

The next few days will be quiet but cold as a slow-moving area of high pressure drops down from the north. Temperatures will start to moderate on Friday ahead of a developing storm. It’s very early to attempt to pinpoint the exact track or the centre of the system – since the low is currently over southern British Columbia. Right now, it looks like the system could bring more than 20 cm of snow to eastern New Brunswick, northern mainland Nova Scotia, western Prince Edward Island and western Newfoundland. The wind will also be a factor with gusts to 80 km/h wrapping around the powerful offshore storm. Stay tuned!
