CHARLOTTETOWN: Blast of cold ahead of next messy mix
As the storm pulls east of Newfoundland, a strong and icy, northwest wind in the wake of the low is serving up significant wind chill: feel-like temperatures will be near -22 C! However, the blast of cold will be short-lived. By Wednesday evening, the leading edge of the next system will reach the province. We can expect 5 to 10 cm of snow followed by some freezing rain then rain 20 to 30 mm of rain Thursday. On Friday, a dry, west wind will push the moisture out and bring some sunshine to the Island for the weekend.
