CHARLOTTETOWN: Another close call

While residents of the Avalon are bracing themselves for another shot of winter, the arctic high parked over northern Quebec will keep the storm away from our province. As the wind comes around to the north behind the low, we can expect another drop in temperature for Thursday. That wind direction change will also trigger more onshore snow. Friday will be fair and milder with temperatures expected to flirt with the freezing mark. The next weather event will approach from the west early Saturday with rain this time around. That system is not expected to linger — Sunday will be cooler, but fair. The break will be brief. I’m watching a potential snow event for the early part of next week. Stay tuned.
