CHARLOTTETOWN: Toques to umbrellas

Another Arctic high-pressure system over Quebec is snuggling in and will serve up a few cold days across the province. The north wind off the top of the high will make it feel even colder with wind-chill values ranging from -12 to -16 into midweek. Thanks to that pocket of cold air, another sprawling storm will be held offshore…sliding south of Sable Island then south of the Avalon Wednesday. Behind the low, the cold north will kick up once again with some onshore snow along west facing coastlines. We can expect moderating temperatures towards the end of the week with some rain on the horizon for Saturday.
